Why does a renovation project cost so much?
Generally cost is not fixed. There is uncertainty at the beginning of a project about precisely what is required, and whilst this is clarified as the project proceeds and more decisions are made, even when a firm price has been accepted from suppliers, this is likely to change as a result of variations to requirements, events such as exceptionally adverse weather (relevant events), the rate of inflation (fluctuations), and so on.
What is the timeline for the project?
Before you we start the project, we will have to establish wether you have to require permits, planning permision as well as allow you with time to finalise plans and get your financing organised to fund the building project. This can take one to two months or longer.
What is the total budget for construction?
Typically, you can expect to spend per square foot on any renovation. When you’re deciding on your home renovation budget, it can be easier, and more affordable, to prioritize projects by room and build a budget around the cost of each individual project.
How is renovation project initiated?
When properly planned by a skilled renovation team, the actual gut renovation itself—which entails taking everything out of your apartment, down to the studs—can take anywhere between three to 12 months. But it can take just as long to get the project off the ground.
